
Ray Sheehan is the author of Award-Winning BBQ Sauces and How to Use Them and the founder and owner of BBQ Buddha, an international award-winning line of healthy-minded BBQ sauces and rubs. He is also the Pit Master for the BBQ Buddha Competition team and a certified Kansas City Barbeque Society judge. Ray spends his time running the day-to-day operations of the business, but his true passions are creating award-winning BBQ products and teaching others how to use them. His sauces have won numerous awards at some of the biggest sauce contests, including the American Royal “Best Sauce on the Planet” contest, the Scovie Awards, the National Barbecue and Grilling Association’s Awards of Excellence, the International Artisan Flavor Awards (the Flaves), the World Hot Sauce Awards and the Sauce King NYC Grand Championship.
A chef by trade, Ray has been in the food business for over 25 years. Since 2017, he has been a contributor to Barbecue News Magazine, providing recipes, articles and product reviews.
